How do you transition from the stress of your day to being present with your family and loved ones?

If you don’t give yourself the opportunity to switch gears from the energy of working or being at work, to the energy of being present, loving and giving at home, your relationships will suffer.

So, how do you leave work, the commute, the traffic and the stress of the day outside of your front door?

Here are a few things you can to do ease into the transition:

Sit in your car for 10-15 minutes before entering the house. You can listen to music, meditate, or listen to a book to create the mindset needed to leave the stressful energy behind.
Go to the gym- this is known to release tension and stress before going home.
Call a friend – you never have time anyway – use the few minutes before entering the house to catch up with a friend.
Go for a run or walk.
Take a few deep breaths for a couple of minutes and set you intention for the rest of the day.
Download one of those 5 minute meditation apps on your phone to reset your brain.
It’s so important tot he health of your relationships to be intentional in your transition from work mode to relationship mode.
