Did you ever notice how much more people do for you when you show acknowledgement and appreciation?

Whether it’s the wait staff at restaurants, the concierge at a hotel, the flight attendants on your flight or the sales clerk at a store. They all give a little bit extra when they are made to feel appreciated.

So, why don’t you acknowledge and appreciate everyone in your life?

When my husband and I were having dinner on the last night of our vacation, I looked him in the eye and told him what a great job he did planning and organizing our trip.

I saw him soften and glow as he said to me, “thank you for the acknowledgement.”

In that moment, I realized how much verbalizing my acknowledgment meant to him. He looked so happy. Something so simple and easy to say had a huge effect on his confidence and self esteem.

Here’s what you’ll notice when you set the intention of letting the people you love know that they are not taken for granted by showing your appreciation; your relationships have deeper connection and much less stress.

Yes, there were times where we both felt triggered and annoyed by each other, especially spending 10 days side by side.😆

But, honestly, nothing lasted more than 5 minutes and we moved on quickly and found some humor.

I’m sharing this with you because a key element in creating love, connection and security in your relationships is acknowledgement and appreciation.

Take the time to let your loved ones know how you feel. Don’t assume they should know how you feel based on your actions.

We all need to hear the words that let us know that we matter!
