On June 12th, 2020, six powerful Black female leaders and experts came together to co-create The Allyship Awareness Forum with the intention of educating allies and helping them become more equipped and open their eyes to the work of dismantling their privilege.

We had some powerful discussions to spark your journey to be an ally to facilitate sustainable transformation in your communities for our community.

Karimah “Reignmaker” Stewart is the owner of The Reignmaker Group, coaching, and training company specializing in wealth empowerment, money mastery, personal and organizational leadership, culture change, and collaborative team building within organizations, schools, and families. Previously, Karimah worked at The Boeing Company as a Leadership Development trainer, leading courses locally, nationally, and globally. As an abundance & wealth empowerment (AWE) coach, Karimah embraces a holistic approach by tapping into the practical, spiritual, emotional, mental, and psychological aspects of money and personal leadership. She empowers participants to heal their relationship with money, make peace with their pain, and step more powerfully into their leadership to build wealth and legacy.

Dr. Terrlyn L. Curry Avery is a pathologist, spiritual leader, author, and TEDx speaker. She is the creator of pathology, the dynamic approach to transformation that focuses on the synergy between spirituality and the human psyche. She helps transformational leaders stay grounded in their faith, values, and purpose by providing both spiritual and psychological support as they manifest their own greatness and help others to do the same. Dr. Curry Avery helps leaders recognize and understand how ingrained disruptive and damaging messages from various religions may impact their finances, decision-making, careers, and personal self-image. She holds a Ph.D. from Hofstra University and an MDiv. from Yale University. She is author of Sacred Intelligence: The Essence of Sacred, Selfish, and Shared Relationships and was the previous host of her own Public Access Show.

Rev. Dr. Terrlyn Curry Avery

Hilliary Turnipseed is an experienced talent acquisition and management executive, specializing in early-stage startups, as well as the education technology, media production and advertising industries. Companies she has worked with include Discovery Communications, Black Girls CODE, POLITICO and Blackboard.

While Turnipseed’s primary expertise is in recruitment, she also focuses on implementing diversity and inclusion strategies along with employee engagement and wellness program initiatives. She is well known for her creative approaches to optimizing workplace environments and policies for the Millennial Generation.

Turnipseed is the Founder of Hill Street Strategies, a full-service consultancy that provides comprehensive talent acquisition, talent management and workplace culture solutions.

If you are open to listen and learn while watching, yes. However, there is much work to be done beyond watching this recording.
